Search for the term Lesbian on Google, and the search engine displays a rainbow-colored banner down the side. I saw this pointed out by Search Engine Land. Obviously it's a rare bit of human intervention in the otherwise algorithm-driven search site.
As for the algorithm itself, it has a different idea of what you might be interested in.
