Good god. I just spit coffee onto my computer screen because my wife, sitting nearby to me, just read the following quote to me from the print version of Time Out New York in an article about parents.
Some accept the financial involvement of Mom and Dad. “I think it’s really necessary, when your career isn’t the most rewarding moneywise, to have a support system like your parents,” says Anne Williams, 26, a blog editor. “Otherwise, I’d probably be working at a more stable, more boring job.”
Just curious, does anyone know what blog that is?
More: I should add one thing. I'm being a tad hypocritical here, because I was actually supported by wife for almost a year when I was basically unemployed and writing The 'Wart full time, so I can understand the idea of being supported when "your career isn't the most rewarding moneywise". And then I did get a "boring" job for awhile, when that gig was getting old.
Excellent!! very informative article.Find places where you will receive support, remember you are not the first or the last person to go through this.
