The New York Times And Anton Chekhov

Re: The NYT's piece on John McCain. I believe the old line about how if you're going to bring a gun onstage, it better go off, would be appropriate.

Note, NYT shares were down over 6.5 percent today. I think it's conceivable that it had to do with the article, which seems tome have hit the outside world with a resounding thud, and seems sure to drag the Paper of Record down into a rancorous battle with its critics.

Now this is a good read. For real.
