The Tiger Woods Effect

I tend to always go for the underdog in any sporting event, almost to a fault, perhaps. But for some reason, I always root for Tiger Woods whenever I watch golf -- not sure why. I know others who feel the same way. Anyway, an interesting article at Slate about a Tiger Woods effect during golf tournaments. It's not just that he's good, but other players play worse when he's in a tournament.
