The last time the government sent everyone a check to help stimulate the economy, I was in college and didn't get one. But this time I should, which is cool.
Assuming I get something at the upper end, around $800, I think I know exactly what I'm going to spend it on.
At first I thought you liked gold as a play on inflation, but then I recognized the irony of investing in something that would appreciate from the further erosion of the dollar. The refund check will be nice, but it won't solve the problems with housing.

Heh, the very idea that sending everybody a check in June (maybe) will help the economy (which is in trouble today) is silly.
I think a lot of people have a mortgage payment that exceeds $800 per month!
