Next week, I'll be participating in the TOC (Tournament of Champions) for the Pete's Candy Store weekly trivia competition. My team won one week this summer, so now we're in the running for a $500 grand prize, competing against past winners. So my question to you, dear readers,: how you would recommend cramming for something like this with only 4 or 5 days to go? Bear in mind that I'm a busy working professional, with probably about :30 of free time each day to spare.
Ultimately, it'll depend somewhat on luck. If the categories are things like US Senators, stock ticker symbols and chess openings, then the money is mine. If, on the other hand, they ask about 80s German New Wave Cinema and classic cars, then I'm finished. The week we won, one of the questions was, what does LIBOR stand for? I think I might've been the only one in the whole bar who knew.
One thing's for sure: I should probably read the Daily News cover to back this week, since there's always a current events round that seems culled from the stories found there.
