With utter shock, I stumbled upon CNET's CEO Wealthmeter, the company's real-time scorecard of which CEOs are losing and making the most money based on the movements of their own company's stock. For some reason, I thought that CNET had discontinued this little featurette after the bubble burst. It used to be on the front page of CNET.com, whereas now it's buried deep within the bowels of the site. CNET should totally start hyping it again. If it turned the daily scorecard into an embeddable widget, a bunch of tech and finance bloggers would be all over it for sure.
Today's leader, by the way, is Larry Ellison. His personal fortune is up an estimated $157 million based on Oracle's slight move higher. Others doing well today include Steve Ballmer, Michael Dell and Jeff Bezos. Add John Chambers and Dr. Irwin Jacobs to the list, and it'd be just like the old days.
Done!
