It's still early, but if you must read a post on political punditry today, then here's a good candidate from Julian Sanchez. Unfortunately, there's too much to quote, so just go check it out.

Come on People , Wake Up!.
First time in history I can remember ,the American dollar is lower than European money.
Big ONE here - There are weapons of mass destruction - Where are they ?
Another Big One - Sadam Husane massacred 20,000 people and hung for it.
Since Bush invaded Iraq- (You did notice I said Bush) - Invaded Iraq, more than 655,000 Iraqis have died (BBC NEWS REPORTS) since 2003.
Who is going to hang for this ? Who ? Damn it. Who ?
(655,000 LIVES) This does not include US military Life !
I am not putting down any US military person or individual , I praise their bravery.
Truly, I feel most have died from a Lie of misleading the American people of terrorism, everywhere, maybe here ,, maybe there , maybe over yonder.
The fact is ,,,, we did not stop terrorist on American soil ,, we definitely can’t stop it chasing ghost on foreign soil. ( Its all smoke and mirrors) if we continue to believe this.
Lets take it Home - Here in the US.
More people are out of work than I have ever seen in my Lifetime - You cannot go by the so-called unemployment rate , because once an individual has maxed out on unemployment benefits the individual just becomes an un-known statistic.
Companies- WoW -this is Huge. Just in the small counties I live in , more than 40 - Large well know companies have called it quits under the Bush Administration. Companies that have thrived ever since I was just a small boy.
Last time it was this bad was under the last Bush Administration.
Bush should go hide in shame
I agree with Donald Trump ,, the Bush Administration has been a embarrassment to the American people and America as a whole. America has become a Joke and is not respected ANYWHERE, under the voice of the Bush administration.

Over time, the Constitution has been amended, and the interpretation and application of its provisions have changed. The general tendency has been toward centralization and incorporation

States can also organize their judicial systems differently from the federal judiciary, as long as they protect the constitutional right of their citizens to procedural due process

A Call to Arms
By: Stephen D. Foster
I wrote this in hopes of striking a chord with those hardworking people who go to their job everyday to pay their bills and support their families. Those who went to school, those who did not finish school. Those who grew up with money and those who grew up dirt poor. And most especially to those who still feel a thrill run up their spine and who stand in silence and respect when the flag of our nation is run up a pole and the national anthem plays. Those like me who cherish with my life the freedoms I am guaranteed by this nation’s constitution. People who are concerned not about applying labels or destroying an individuals character because they wish to gain a political office. Those people who hear the self-serving media sources spouting off on how the things that our government is putting into effect today is somehow for our own good.
Watch the media and listen to the “fair and unbiased reporting.” If you do it becomes a reality that you have heard the status of our political system from the right and the left. If you are a voter you have discovered that the politicians will lie and promise you anything to get a vote. Rarely is anything they promise you something you actually receive. Voting for a president, senator or congress person, is an exercise whereby you excrete liquid waste into the wind and it blows back on your shoes and pant legs. If you are like me you are fed-up with these so-called political representatives who butcher the constitution every time they breath.
Our nation was created and our government formed by our forefathers, who were dissatisfied with the dissociated governance of a tyrannical parliamentary monarchy. Those citizens rose up, organized and bore arms in battle after losing battle until the government under which they lived was changed. To ensure that they never again suffered under a government that did not serve their interests and welfare they constructed a Constitution. That Constitution guaranteed that their rights were protected and permitted the people to take back control to peacefully reform that centralized government. In fact, they created a Constitution that allowed them to forcibly remove that government if the politicians failed to give effect to there wishes.
The original creators of the Constitution did not want the angry mob to rule the nation. The welfare of the nation is too important to approach its well-being in anger. It requires deliberation, thought, dedication and equality in order to permit all to enjoy the fruits of the nation’s bounty. Accordingly, they created a set of constitutional procedural rules that requires just those attributes to exercise. Exercising the power of the people to directly impose there will upon the government requires the vast majority of the voting citizens to be in consensus. Nothing more than a massive voter turnout voting to effect a single clear cut political goal can succeed. Repeal of the 16th Amendment would gain of the evil political monkey grinders and bring the corpulent money stealers to heel. At the State level we can reach in and remove or recall any politician who refused to vote in the manner directed by the people’s will.
Our nation was formed from war. And throughout the history of this nation the citizens have shed blood, sweat and treasure to maintain the rights and freedoms embodied in the Constitution. We the people, who are the heirs of those who came before, have lost control of what our forefathers created. We have become ignorant of the fact that we the people can control the government. We have abdicated our duty as a citizen to protect our own rights to politicians busy feathering their own nests and building their own empires within the beltway. Our forefathers rose up and demanded that they should have a better government “to represent them.” The nation’s early political representatives were sworn to protect the very thing our forefathers fought and were willing to die to obtain and maintain – freedom. The country had been created by the joint effort of state militias and the newly formed national army. The voting citizens went to great lengths to make certain that the people would retain the ability to change, restrain and reform the national government. They clearly delineated the powers the people granted to the central government. Those patriots clearly laid out the separate branches of the government and the functions they were to perform. The representatives that formed the governing bodies of the government went great lengths to avoid exceeding their function and were most concerned with never infringing on the rights of the governed. Those representatives diligently performed their political duties because they knew that the citizens were both armed and ready to enforce their rights to maintain those freedoms.
After two-hundred plus years of political maneuvering in the halls of power the politicians have both convinced the citizens that they are powerless to combat their power, and deprived them of the knowledge of how to control them. They have over the years convinced the citizens that their actions are performed for our own good. It is no longer mandatory to take American Civics in school. The fact is that citizens who are ignorant of the Constitution and the framework that constitutes the powers retained by the people are just so much easier to control. The politicians have slowly eroded the people’s control and degraded their rights in the name of progress. We now have a Congress and an Executive who reached into your pocket and over our protest take our money and redistribute as they see fit. But, not to worry guys its for our own good.
We the people have innumerable ways to reach in and (in accordance with the Constitution) force the government to do what we the people want them to do. Yes! We can. Unfortunately no single individual has enough power or financial resources to fight the omnipotent grip of Uncle Sam. In order to throw off the control of our political masters and recover the rights and powers they have stolen from us in our complacency, we must organize.
An organized group of citizens devoted to simply recovering our Constitutional rights can do so by exercising the powers we retained and that our forefathers embedded into the foundation of our government – namely the Constitution. As a organized group, with enough voters focused upon the enforcement of the rights of the people we can effect the removal of those legislative enactments levied against us by a corrupt and tyrannical congress and executive office. We can not only remove or replace our representatives but we can actually reverse the dilution of our rights by abolishing, restricting or radically reforming the Cabinets, Departments, or Committee Those regulatory agencies who now have become little empires all of their own. Agencies who propose rules, enact those rules and the enforce those rules with total disregard the separation of powers. Those agencies such as the EPA, the IRS, the FDA, etc who are not elected, indeed are not answerable to the people. But of course those who “regulate” our lives, do so naturally (of course) for our own good. Apparently, I who have served this nation through three wars and who is capable enough to be licensed to practice law, I am unable to take care of myself. I need a politician to create a law to protect me from McDonalds, to provide me cheap clothing from foreign nations, to tax my gas at the pump to encourage me to use less, to discipline my children, and to inform me of what speech is acceptable or hateful. Why then would I, a mere incompetent citizen peon be able to exercise my rights, have a gun or (Gasp!) actually exercise the power that is granted to us in the Constitution. My first thought was that we could accomplish that goal at the voting box. This is both true and false.
It is true an organized group of voters could attempt to recover our rights by electing yet another lying politician. We only need to find a Tibetan monk, who happens to be a US citizen and that we trust to answer to our demands and represent our interests within the confines of the Constitution. Unfortunately, we have been trying to get the elected officials to keep their campaign promises without much success. In fact the truth is that our elected representatives have no real wish or the power to reach in and give us back our nation and our rights. They represent those who have advocated most loudly and those who have provided the most financial reward. The basis for the erosion of our Constitutional rights is imbedded into the regulatory codes, and federal statutes so that electing a new official to change them is as much an illusion as Dorothy’s, Emerald City. Tyrants never willingly give up the power they have garnered. So, you might ask, what is the answer?
Under the Constitution there are at least two certain methods that can be used to wrest power from the political lackeys of the special interest groups, the corporate juggernauts, and the minority groups. First, is to attack their ability to deprive us of wealth and redistribute it to anyone and spend it anywhere they wish. The national government relies upon its power to tax. The power to tax income is embodied in the provisions of the 16th Amendment. If we force the repeal of the 16th Amendment you in effect force the government to return to the form of funding that the original Constitution contained. The way an organized and dedicated group of patriots can take away the power of Congress and the Executive is to organize in each state and circulate petitions amongst the people to place the issue of repeal on each state’s ballot. How many people would truly vote to continue to pay taxes. Once a state ballot to repeal the amendment is passed by the voters of a state, the state politicians have no choice but to vote for the repeal of the Amendment. Thirty-four states voting to repeal the 16th Amendment and the government’s never-ending checkbook is closed. If you take away the politicians ability to tax you take away their ability to fund all those really necessary things we need for our own good, like artworks created from human excrement, or the biological reproduction patterns of the Yak, or even the aerodynamics of bird feathers.
I am certain that Keith Oberman, Chris Matthews and Rachael Maddox will have conniptions and turn purple and blue screaming about the horribleness of the people actually considering making all citizens equal and the organizing for the recovery of their Constitutional rights. Obama will dust-off that utopian rhetoric to warn the citizens that Armageddon is about to occur and that the social Utopia will be lost. The Federal forces will rally and attack every single leader and proponent of such a goal. We the citizens must not be allowed to think that we actually have the power or the legal right to exercise our Constitutional rights. Organizing to advocate for a political goal is not a crime but we will be prosecuted. I am not advocating a violent overthrow of the government, but I will be accused of just that action. I merely point out that we do have the power to radically impact the government and to enforce the rights we should enjoy under the Constitution if not for the corruption and erosion of our freedoms by our power hungry, special interest serving politicians. When laws were contemplated in the early years of this nation, the first question a politician considered was, is this law Constitutional? Now, it seems that nothing is unconstitutional – why should it be since we the silent majority have fallen asleep at the wheel. We became complacent and comfortable is our belief and trust that the politicians would protect our rights. Unfortunately, while we were in our stupor they ripped us off.
I know, I know, so many out there find themselves repelled by the two fringe elements in control of the government, both the right and the left. But, what we in the center, the complacent ones who really do not wish to become involved in the political struggle because of our, “you leave me alone, and I’ll leave you alone” desperately need to do is organize. We in the center have gotten jacked around and have wound up being governed by one extreme ideology or the other. The political factions in control, are those empowered by so called community organizations. It is not that the center is out-numbered, but rather that we are out-organized. Minority groups organized to promote their rights, special interest groups have organized to support programs and laws to save the whales, promote green jobs, obtain assistance for foreign nations, support corporate entities, save the children from fatty foods etc. While as a matter of course, I personally do not have any objection to anyone or any entity having an equal opportunity and equal rights, I do strenuously object to their rights becoming more equal than mine.
Therefore, those extremists who feel that they have been wronged and that they inherently deserve to be favored above anyone else for whatever reason, seek to silence the voice of anyone who objects to having their liberty, rights, and property more evenly distributed. Which usually winds up meaning that their viewpoint is supreme and our rights accordingly less than equal. Of course those nine old wise people in black robes have informed us that this is fine since it is intended to correct past injustices. The special interest groups with the assistance of entertainment news will label people like me a racist, a ignorant redneck, or an armed and violent anarchist. The powers in control will attack any organization of voters who advance the control of the majority over their government as discriminatory and damn them as politically incorrect.
Personally, I do not care if someone is purple with pink polka-dots on their butts, I do not care whether you worship the Great Poopoo, if you wish to fornicate with animals, women or men, or have extra high levels of testosterone or estrogen running in your veins, as long as you respect my rights, I will respect yours. My property is mine, I worked hard for it and you damn well cannot have it. My income is mine, I work had for it, went to school to be able to succeed at it and you cannot have it either. My right to speak, eat, drink or fornicate is none of your business.
I have never owned a slave, my parents did not own slaves, my grandparents nor my great-grandparents did not own slaves. African-Americans, Latinos and Asian Americans are as a bottom-line American citizens, they have equal rights, and they welcome to the benefits this nation offers to all. What African-Americans, Latinos and any other “minority group” do not get to do is be more equal than any other nationality, group or race because of what happened to their far in the past relatives. By that rationale, I am certain that everyone in this nation could come up with some horrible thing that was done to their relatives at some discernable point in time and become extra equal too. And in case anyone still wants to call me a racist, I am not picking on any specific group, I simply do not need to propound on this concept utilizing every nationality, creed, sex, etc that thinks they have been oppressed and deserve to be more equal than anyone else. The past conduct of someone in the past against some other person in the past does not have much meaning now.
We the silent majority, those of us who have not organized and have stayed out of the political arena, we are the power in this nation. We are the gun-toting, war fighting, men and women of all colors, creeds, religious believes, of whatever sexual persuasion; who love this country and have supported her with our blood, sweat and labor, obeying the laws and not asking anything other than our government govern us within the tenets laid down in the Constitution, and we need to organize.
We need to call a constitutional congress and put term limits on our national political offices. Never again can we permit so many to obtain so much power that it corrupts them absolutely. We need to force them to institute a flat-tax with no loopholes and no deductions. Make the huge corporate entities pay their share. Remove the tax exemptions. No non-profit exemption, no exemption for churches. I have no problem with any peace loving religion but if your religion advocates that it is alright to attack or kill anyone else that does not believe in your beliefs then your religious belief needs to be rubbed out with extreme prejudice. If you advocate attacking innocents so you can get into heaven, in fact if your faith is so out of touch that you think someone who does not practice it won’t go to heaven you have a mental block. But, the peaceful practice of religion should not be the cause of discrimination or prejudice. Does anyone think the huge churches should really be tax exempt? Every citizen and each business running in this nation which enjoys the fruits of its bounty can pay their share of load. There are no free rides. We can institute a balanced budget act and prevent the politicians from borrowing us into bankruptcy in the future.
The government has led us into the worst economic crises in the nations history. It started
with a liberal political ideology setting forth the position that more people should be able to share in the American Dream. Oh yeah! More people should own their own houses. Naturally, it was only those horrible politically incorrect, and racist financial institutions that prevented that from being a reality. So in order to effect that ideologic goal they encouraged the financial institutions, like the federal reserve, the treasury, Freddie and Fannie, and numerous others to get more creative with their loans. And Lo they cried look we have succeeded in achieving. More people own their own homes. People who could not otherwise financially qualify were able to participate in the American Dream. When the economic boom faltered that dream was shattered.
But, never fear your government came to the rescue. Those people who got exotic loans. You know the ones where they could take cash out up to 50% over the value of the property. They got to keep that money. The ones that couldn’t afford the property without getting a loan at an absurd starting rate that adjusted up five or seven years later, well they got cheaper digs than they could have rented. And then there were the ones that really burned your butt, the ones that took fancy vacations, drove expensive cars, owned neat toys like big screen TV’s, snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATV’s RV’s etc. that the government reached into your pocket and stole your money to give to them so they didn’t lose their homes. Now, to be fair I am certain that there were people out there who did everything right, they were financially responsible and they still got hurt. Unfortunately they probably were not the ones the government wound up helping. It seems that the only ones that wound up getting help were the people who already had money.
We need to do away with the popular utopian liberal concept of a “global economy.” Let’s see if I can get it right! We throw open our borders and have free-trade agreements with everyone. That means that the employee in Thailand making $4.50 a day (if he’s lucky) makes my sneakers. Then that sneaker is shipped over here and sold (cough, cough) cheaper. And therefore we are told the guy in Thailand benefits by making an income and we benefit by getting cheaper shoes. Everyone is happy right. Well not quite. Who isn’t happy is the guy in America who could be making shoes, earning an income to buy shoes. But, because of the wonderful global utopia our politicians created for our own good we don’t produce shoes in this country. In fact if anyone cares to look we do not manufacture a lot of anything in this country. But, not to worry the US Government is the fastest growing employer in the Country. Soon the government will employ more than the private sector.
Unfortunately, you and I and the rest of the tax paying citizens wind up paying for it. Our homes were devalued, our jobs were lost, our savings lost. But, we are told not to worry, our government will take more of our money and give it to those who really need it. Hey, I wouldn’t want to deprive that guy on Wall Street that just screwed up his job and lost millions of people a substantial percentage of the retirement fund his 30 million dollar BONUS. While we are hunkering down trying to keep our jobs, retain our business, keep our homes etc., the politicians have totally disregarded our rights and have begun to rum amok. They have gotten out of control and now lie outright without fear of consequences. Anyone who laps up the political drivel that they will deliver entitlements to us for free needs to examine a bridge I have for sale in New York City. Not only that but anyone who thinks that they are not going to wind up paying new and higher taxes to support those wonderful free entitlements is certifiably insane. They’ll raise the taxes on gas, tobacco, and liquor. They’ll raise the income tax. They’ll tax manufacturers, financial institutions and producers who will pass the cost on to us. One way or the other the politicians will reach into your pocket and find ever more creative ways to take your money to pay for that free stuff you are getting. Don’t worry, it’s for your own good. Why, the people should be thanking the president for reaching into your pocket and removing that income that you didn’t really have a use for huh?
It is a sad fact that our government now feels justified to exercising the power of eminent domain to take our property to build strip malls, shopping centers etc. Yep, it does not make a difference that you paid your taxes, that your family has lived there for over a century or otherwise have performed all legal requirements to maintain the property. The governments power was enhanced by the decision of those nine omnipotent geriatric patients occupying the Supreme Court. They decided that the government is entitled to steal your property if it is for the public good. Oh, yeah, by the way the public good consists of the government being able to obtain more tax revenue from the strip mall rather than from your paltry property taxes. Why, the government will pay you a fair price for your property. Isn’t it ironic, the government can pay six-hundred dollars for a toilet seat or hammer but they can screw you over for your property.
For those of you who have remained silent, who have felt that you are powerless, it is time.
It is time to rise-up, organize and put these traitors out of office. That’s right, one who betrays one's country, a cause, or a trust, is the very definition of a traitor. That is the only description that fits the individuals that have betrayed our trust and have participated by commission or omission in gutting the Constitution. It is time to give the politicians a lesson in the limits of their power. We need to awaken and take back our government, reinstate our rights, and place limits upon any future representatives. Because if we do not do this now we may not be able to accomplish the task. You ask why. I say that at the speed that Congress and the Executive are absorbing the power, spending the money, and discovering new and more inventive ways to take your money; it will not be too many years before we no longer exercise the pathways set up in the Constitution for us to control the government. When the politicians finally reach the point where more than 50% of the population is being provided with their daily needs by Uncle Sam they will be the dependant, becoming the bought and paid for slaves of those entitlements. They will owe their well-being to the politicians promising to increase their “income.” So.....
Arise, Arise, Arise, rise up and seize this one moment in time, this one moment of national pride, this last best chance to recover our rights, remove the power of the corrupt and extreme politicians to reclaim our heritage. The fundamental concepts that the people of this nation once enjoyed as set out in the very bedrock values stated as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness have been infringed and may be forever lost for our children. Honor the blood our forefathers shed and sacrificed to let us live a life of liberty, guaranteeing the security of our property under the concepts embodied in the Constitution. Lets do it now before the nation is lost forever, the victim of our own lassitude.
