JetBlue jettisons Neeleman as CEO; promotes Barger:
"The board suggested to David that he could best serve the company in a more strategic role. David agreed," JetBlue spokeswoman Jenny Dervin said. "The conversation was initiated by the board."
I sort of thought -- as someone who got caught up in the great Valentine's day snafu at JFK -- that David Neeleman got a bum rap for what happened on that day. That being said, that incident wasn't really at the core of jetBlue's troubles, as it's been struggling financially for awhile. As for the above quote, when was the last time you heard of a CEO ouster where such strong language was used?
