Speculative Musing: Yahoo to Buy a Broker

As this is complete speculation, we'll keep it brief. But today it occured to us that Yahoo (NSDQ:YHOO) is just one step away from being an online broker. It would seem they mind as well just go and buy a platform for settling transactions. They have people using their system anyways. We're not saying they should charge for access to their website, but perhaps they could be one option for brokerage. Then again, perhaps the ad revenue they receive from current online brokers is good enough access to the online brokerage revenue stream. Still it does seem that Yahoo, with real time quotes now (which they charge for) is just one step away...
