After today's disappointing quarterly preview, shares of luxury homebuilder Toll Brothers (NYSE: TOL) are down over 50%, from their highs made last summer. Thought it would be a nice time to remind readers of a great quote from CEO Bob Toll, made early last year on CNBC:
“The shorts are gonna get crushed,” he boasted. “You ain’t seen nothing yet.”
As a general rule, we'd say, if your CEO is fixated on beating short-sellers, it's probably wise to worry.
