Yesterday, I did what I failed to do in all the years I lived in Austin--make the 30 minute drive to Kreuz Market in Lockhart, home of the greatest barbecue on the planet, no 2.0 about it. As barbecue connoisseur/economist Tyler Cowen put it: I hadn't imagined that barbecue this good existed.
I hadn't either.
If you've got the time, hit Mueller's in Taylor or drive out to Llano and go to Cooper's. You won't regret either trip if you liked Kreuz.
