This is strange, Delta airlines is promoting a special "Song Sample Sale" offering customers the chance to experience the "Features Offerings Including Live TV, Movies, Music and Video Games as Well as Organic, Healthful Menu Options and Signature Cocktails to Make Time Truly Fly" on their Song, discount division. But Delta is eliminating Song, right? Why the new promotion?
That being said, you might want to check out the offerings, some of these promotions look pretty good. $79 each way between LaGuardia and San Juan...I'll take it.
Delta is in bankruptcy court. The airline industry is all about cash flow. It seems likely they will do everything to generate all of the revenue they can. A fire sale such as this one, that by the way, Continental has matched in some markets, will provide revenue that they would not have gotten if the fare was higher. Which entices those who may not have traveled. Most airlines in bankruptcy will do this alot, they get fast cash and no empty seats. Happy Thanksgiving.
