This should be no surprise but an expert says $4 a gallon gas on the horizon.
On FoxNews earlier, they showed a gas station in Atlanta charging $6.50 for gasoline as their supplies were running out.
We're approaching E.U. prices here, but at least they have good public transportation there.
And Loren Steffy has this costly anecdote to report:
Katrina's impact is already being felt at gas pumps as far away as Dallas. Harold Green says he pulled into a Diamond Shamrock station there earlier today and accidentally locked his keys in his car. When he arrived, regular unleaded was selling for $2.65 a gallon. By the time his wife arrived 20 minutes later with a spare set of keys, Green says the price had jumped to $2.89, which is what he wound up paying.
Seems like the end of the so-called "Summer Driving Season" could come sooner than thought.
